Enthusiasm is more important than skills and experience. If you love being outdoors and enjoy working as part of a small team then the practical conservation group is the ideal volunteer opportunity.

Where & When

We meet every Thursday outside the Castle Semple Visitor Centre cafe at 12.30pm and session runs until 3.30pm. Occasionally we have a full day session, starting at 10.30am and quite often the group will work at Muirshiel Country Park too. Details are in the programme, link above.

Training & support provided

We will provide induction training and teach you how to use the hand-tools required for the tasks.
