The Thursday volunteers planted out a few more eared willow close to the entrance of Muirshiel Country Park last week. From there we moved uphill to Orblis to pull, lop or bowsaw the self-seeding Sitka spruce. Two new recruits were introduced to the satisfying job of clearing unwanted sitka to retain our moorland habitat, the occasional midge and wrapped chocolate biscuits (untouched to be Covid compliant) at the end of the days work.
