Each of the Project gulls were fitted with a GSM (Global Satellite Monitoring) tag worn on a harness and the birds wear this like a backpack. The tags were solar-powered and some tags recorded for 2 or more years. This allowed us to track the daily movements of the gulls while they spend the breeding season in the UK and then on their winter migration. Click on the name of each gull to see their story.
