Car park and trails are open daily*. Toilet opening hours 09.30 – 16.30 hrs Thurs – Mon, early closure Tues & Wed at 15:30 hrs.

Outdoor Learning

Lunderston’s rockpools are home to an array of creatures! The Greenock Cut Ranger Service lead school and other educational groups here plus fun summer events for all the family.

On Site

Check out the Lunderston Bay adventure play area. Added in 2022, this play area gives children the ability to captain their own ship with views along the Clyde.

Things To Do

  1. Build a sandcastle on the beach and take a picture, share online using #clydemuirshiel
  2. Enjoy a coastal walk watching out for the wildlife and the boats as you go along.
  3. Come by bike -Sustrans cycle route 75 Gourock to Inverkip passes through the site.
  4. Join the Rangers to go rockpool dipping or help them with a Beach Clean.
  5. Keep your dog away from the ‘Dog Free Zone’.

  • Bathing water quality is monitored by SEPA, last year the water quality was ‘good’, click here for latest information.
