Large White (Pieris brassicae).

Posted in:

Large White is one of the most common and widespread butterflies in Britain. All creamy-white with black tips on forewings, extending along the edge of the wing. Females also have two distinctive black spots on the forewings. Its larvae mainly feeds on plants such as cabbage and brussels-sprout causing damage to the crops, therefore it’s not welcome in gardens and fields.
