About
The upper side of the wings is brown and it can only be seen in flight as this butterfly always rests with its wings closed. The green colour is an illusion created by diffraction of the sunlight, where colour green is reflected of the wing scales. This butterfly mainly feeds on Bird’s-foot Trefoil, Honeydew and Privet.
