Approximately 16km walk starting and finishing at the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre,
This route takes you to the summit of the Park’s northern most supra-300m hill. You’ll pass by the location of a Roman watch tower as well as and a bronze age / iron age settlement. The round houses are still visible today although little remains of the Roman fortlet are not as clear with only the earth works the tower was built on. Not only are there ancient remains, there are also three abandoned farms ranging from the 18th to 20th century. The views over the Clyde Valley are stunning as are the views back into the Park. |
Booking is essential as limited to 12 people per walk. Sturdy footwear and waterproofs is recommended. Bring your own food and drinks.
