Join our Rangers to help control the spread of Himalayan Balsam along the Castle Semple Loch. Himalayan Balsam is an invasive plant species that grows vigorously along banks and riversides, shading other native plant species out. During winter it dies back leaving bare ground which is vulnerable to erosion, which can negatively affect habitats along the lochshore, such as spawning fish beds and ground nesting bird sites.

Free to attend, no booking required! Just show up on the day.

It is recommended that you wear long sleeved shirts and trousers. Gloves will be provided.
