The Lunderston Bay New Play Equipment Project has been shortlisted as one of the options you will be able to vote for in the Greenock and Port Glasgow Tesco stores as part of Bags of Help! When you pay for your shopping you will be given a token to vote for one of three local projects.
The existing play equipment at Lunderston Bay is very well used and some has been removed due to age. Funds from the Tesco Bags of Help project will go towards rejuvinating the area with some new equipment for the local community to enjoy at the popular beachfront site! Please use your Tesco token wisely and vote Lunderston! Voting will open in your local Tesco store from Mon 31st Oct until Sun 13th November.
More on Bags of Help:
Tesco teamed up with greenspace scotland to launch its Bags of Help initiative across Scotland. The scheme has seen three community groups and projects in each region awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.
Bags of Help offers community groups and projects in each of Tesco’s regions across the UK a share of revenue generated from the five pence charge levied on single-use carrier bags.
The public will vote in store to decide which local groups should receive the £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 awards.
