Young Volunteers

Opportunities for 14-18 year olds to work alongside the Ranger Service doing varied tasks.

CMRP_DofE_Conservation_ditching workAs part of the Castle Semple Young Volunteer group you will get the chance to take part in a variety of conservation projects. In the past tasks have included: tree planting, path and fence maintenance, habitat creation and removing invasive plant species. Volunteering with us can contribute towards your Duke of Edinburgh Award or gain hours for Saltire or John Muir Awards.

Please note this group is currently full and we are operating a waiting list. Please email your name and what level of award you are doing and when it started/is due to start to the Rangers if you’re interested and we will be in contact when a place becomes available.

Where & When
We meet every Sunday at Castle Semple Visitor Centre Cafe at 10am and the session runs until 12pm.

Training & Support
We will provide induction training and teach you how to use the hand tools required for the tasks.

Any other requirements
Please bring suitable outdoor clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty and waterproofs.
