On Wednesday 8th February 70 walkers from Renfrewshire and beyond joined this year’s annual Tartan walk run by Renfrewshire Walking Network and Clyde Muirshiel Ranger Service. The walk left Castle Semple Visitor Centre 11am and headed along towards one of Lochwinnoch’s three churches for a song. Then it was on to the main street to admire the new high street bridge. After admiring the view the walk then headed round to the Lochwinnoch golf course. Songs sung included Uist Tramping Song, Mairi’s Wedding and Coulters Candy. The walkers then enjoyed a cuppa, cake and the ever popular raffle back at the Centre.
If you would like to do some more walking the Lochwinnoch Community Walk meets every Monday (except public holidays) at the McKillop, Lochwinnoch at 10.30am.
