The Tag-n-Track team delivered another bird ringing workshop on Thursday, this time for regular volunteer group Community Networks. It was vey snowy underfoot today at Muirshiel but the sun was blazing and the feeders were busy with feathered visitors. The group were treated to up close views of Robins, Great Tits, Coal Tits and Siskins. The star was the female Great Spotted Woodpecker who flew into the net just as we were packing up. This female has now been living at Muirshiel for two years at least and she is looking really healthy and ready for the breeding season. The group had a cracking time and we hope to work with them again soon.
