Sitka Spruce at Muirshiel to be felled in November

Three areas of Sitka Spruce at Muirshiel Country Park are to be felled this November and are shown on the map below.  Replanting will have mainly native broadleaf trees to recreate a more natural woodland and landscape. Small sections on the moorland edge will be left unplanted as they contain peaty soils.  Paths in the felled areas will be resurfaced following the removal of the trees.
