He’s on his way.

The time we have all been waiting for has arrived...the first of our gulls is heading home

It’s been very quiet here at TnT while we have been waiting for our gulls to return. Since the end of last month the numbers of LBB Gulls at Castle Semple and beyond has steadily increased but all ours have remained overseas. However, on Saturday José decided it was time to return and left Spain at 1105. By 1300 he was over the border in Portugal where he continued to fly north west until he hit the coast at Figueira da Foz at 1812.  He stopped for the night to refuel and rest before heading north up the coast at 0720 on Sunday the 17th.  He continued up to Aveiro where he was last picked up at 1326. We can’t wait to see where he is when the next update comes through.
