Boring Bobby has proved us Wrong.

He may have spent 5 months hanging around in Greenock but Greenock is no more for PC Bobby

Greenock no more, Scotland no more, Ireland no more…

PC Bobby has arrived in Portugal. He was our first gull to be tagged and our 10th gull to migrate. We always referred to Bobby as ‘our boring gull’ because he spent most of his foraging time near a local primary school in Greenock. However he finally headed to Ireland on the 6th of November before heading to Cornwall on the 29th of November. By the 1st of December he had arrived in Spain. However, instead of taking the coastal route into Portugal like the rest of our gulls, Bobby decided to fly cross country through Spain into Portugal. He then headed to the coast at Aljezur before following the coast all the way round to Lagos where he was picked up on the evening of the 5th.

You can see his journey on the map and if you follow the link below to the Doarama website you can see his flythrough across Spain to Portugal.
